Move your SmartPLS 4 seat license to a new computer

If you like to move your SmartPLS 4 seat license from an old computer to a new one, perform the following steps:

  • On your old computer, open SmartPLS 4 and go to the SmartPLS menu.

  • Select Switch license

  • In the dialog that opens, click the red button labeled Deactivate license

  • If a message appears saying "License deactivation not possible," click the red button labeled with Forget license anyway.

  • Close SmartPLS. Your license is now deactivated on your old computer.

  • On your new computer, open SmartPLS 4 and go to the SmartPLS menu.

  • Select Switch license and activate the software using your SmartPLS 4 single-seat license key.
